|Are you there, my son?
"but thou art the same , and thy years shall not fail. But to which of the angels said he at any time. Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy
footstool?" Hebrews 1:12-13, KJV
If God remains the same day to day, moment to moment, year to year, without ever failing us, should we not remain the same with Him in our relationship with Him? If we examined our lives moment by moment, hour by hour during each day, could we say we remain the same with Him? If God is willing to defeat our enemies as he does the angels', should we not have more of a sense of wanting to please God? Each of us knows someone who is willing to go the extra mile and is ready to give a helping hand at the drop of a hat. How do we treat someone who will go the extra mile for us? Are we "fair weather friends" or do we have a loving spirit towards them whenever they cross our mind. Do we only think of them when we have a need? God really doesn't demand much of us. He created us for His great pleasure to enjoy us as individuals, as sons and daughters through the salvation of Jesus Christ His Son. He loved us so much that He gave His only begotten son to die for our sins. We should feel that love back for him, just as we feel love for our own parents, children, husbands or wives. Just as we want to know what is going on their lives and share in them, we should want to share in God's life and love.
Why not begin today by talking to the One who redeemed you from the pits of hell. Tell him how it's going. Ask for His advise and for His continued guidance through out the day. Open your Bible to find His answers for you this day. Keep track of what you read for 21 days to make this new beginning a habit you won't want to ever break. You don't have to go it alone any longer.
